Sulphur Dyes

Sulphur dyes are water insoluble and must be transformed to a soluble (leuco) form with an alkaline reducing agent such as Sodium Sulphide (Na2S). Sulphur dyes come in a variety of dark colours, including blue, black, and brown. It has a high production value and is widely used. Sulphur dyes are primarily used to dye cotton and regenerated cellulose/viscose in the form of yarn, piece goods, and blends. Except for hypochlorite, the dyes generated show good all-around wet processing fastness.
